In 2011, Sean Smirnov was an MD/PhD student concerned with amplifying his impact on people lives. Having witnessed firsthand the profound influence of financial component on individuals' health and well-being during medical school, Smirnov was compelled to participate in the emerging financial wellness movement with his own startup and established the company. Daniel Pesman, who was an associate in his previous venture, joined him as a co-founder of Unadat.
