Aprajita Srivastava is an undergraduate at Grove School of Engineering Student majoring in Computer Science and in the graduating class of 2025. She is pursuing a degree in Computer Science in hopes of becoming a Data Scientist in the future. Her interest in data science is sparked by data-driven insights and the potential of machine learning to alter industries. What was your role?

Ive been involved in various projects, with contributions including working on the Challenges edit form, where I handled both frontend and backend aspects with my team. Much of my focus afterward was dedicated to the Milestones page, where I spent considerable time creating milestones, managing data, and refining the frontend experience. Towards the projects completion, I also played a role in enhancing the Supporter milestone.

What did you work on?

Front and Back end development on adding new additions to the milestone page along with the challenges edit tab for user interaction.

What was the impact of your project?
What did you learn or improve on from this internship or from your teammates?
From my teammates, Ive learned invaluable lessons on staying motivated throughout tasks, even during challenging phases of a project. Collaborating with them has taught me the importance of understanding each others thought processes, which enhances communication and fosters a more cohesive team dynamic.
What skills have you gained?
During my internship at Unadat, I acquired a range of new skills. Among these are soft skills like teamwork, collaboration, and project management, which I honed through working closely with colleagues on various projects. Additionally, I developed technical expertise in PHP and JavaScript, gaining valuable hands-on experience in backend and frontend development.
What was the biggest roadblock you've overcome?
The biggest roadblock I overcame was managing my time effectively. With a lot of responsibilities at once, I found it important to develop a structured schedule. I started planning out my tasks for the day in advance, allocating specific times for each task.
How has company culture guided your work?
Company culture has guided my work by showing the importance of communication and how it can help get tasks done quickly. It also demonstrated to me how you need a mix of both teamwork and independent work to do effective work.

What was one big project you worked on during the internship? Can you walk me through the process?
What advice would you give to future interns?
To the next group of interns, my advice would be to embrace asking questions without hesitation. While this guidance might seem commonplace, its crucial to emphasize its importance, as seeking clarification can often streamline tasks significantly. Asking the right questions can make a task far more manageable and save valuable time in the process.
